WGXC fundraiser

Come out to Hudson’s Mexican Radio, and help bring community radio to Hudson. A portion of the proceeds from all dinners the evening of Sept. 9 will go to putting WGXC on the air at 90.7-FM, and bringing community voices to your radio.

WGXC/Prometheus Radio Project Barnraising

This September, Prometheus Radio Project and WGXC will hold Prometheus’s 12th community radio barnraising. Radio barnraisings are weekend-long radio and movement-building events. Individuals from the local community, participatory media advocates, and artists from around the country will converge in Hudson, NY to share ideas, experiences, and skills in the launching of WGXC’s full power community radio station.

WGXC fundraiser

Rangda, Major Stars, and Bunnybrains perform at a fundraiser for WGXC at 8 p.m. Aug. 31 at the Cannonball Factory for $5. Rangda includes Sir Richard Bishop, Ben Chasny (from Six Organs of Admittance), and Chris Corsano (Nels Cline, Thurston Moore, Paul Flaherty, many others) three legends in experimental music. Major Stars features the folks who run Twisted Village. And Bunnybrains are Hudson’s own noise gods. This is a fundraiser for new community radio station WGXC. Live webstream from WGXC Online Radio at www.wgxc.org, and archived recordings there too after the show.
